Smartphones are pretty expensive these days, so getting insurance to cover them is usually a safe bet, just in case the unimaginable happens.

Google is here to help with anyone that picks up a new Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P, thanks to a new program it’s launching today called Nexus Protect. With the insurance plan, owners can pony up a one-time fee that adds a two-year insurance plan that covers accidental damage and/or mechanical breakdown in the new handsets. Claims can be submitted 24/7, too, which should be a nice addition.

As far as pricing goes, the Nexus 5X Protect plan will retail for $69, while the plan for the Nexus 6P will go for $89.

Nexus Protect launches today, September 29, in the United States. However, Google didn’t articulate whether or not the plan will be launching in other markets anytime soon.
