With the first batch of Nexus 6P units shipping out to customers, Google has also uploaded the Marshmallow factory images for the handset on its website.
Since there are two different variants of the Nexus 6P — one for Europe and one for North America — the company has uploaded two different factory images. There is a slight difference in the build number of both factory images, MDA89D vs. MDB08K, to account for the difference in radios, but otherwise they are identical to each other.
The Marshmallow factory images for the LG-made Nexus 5X have been available for download since last week.
Factory images allow Nexus owners to restore the handset to their original factory state, though it requires the bootloader of the handset to be unlocked first.
