For its size, the Nexus 6 comes with a paltry 3220mAh battery that provides the device with enough juice to get through the day. To make up for a hefty battery, Motorola and Google bundled the a Turbo Charger with the device.
The Turbo Charger was initially launched with the new Moto X, and is capable of providing up to 8 hours of additional battery power with only 15 mins of charging on supported devices. However, Google and Motorola are not bundling the charger with the Nexus 6 in Australia due to the difference in electrical standards. Instead, for now the company has bundled a normal charger that won’t be able to charge the Nexus 6 from 0 to 100 percent in just over two hours.
A Motorola spokesperson has confirmed to Ausdroid that the company is designing a Turbo Charger from the group up for the Australian market, which will be sent out to Nexus 6 owners in Q1, 2015.
The company is offering a redemption code with every Nexus 6 unit that owners will have to use down the line to claim their Turbo Charger. The code is being bundled with the retail units as well the Nexus 6 units purchased from the Australian Play Store.
