Sunday has just about started in the United States, and what’s better than kicking it off by watching a 10-minute comparison video of the iPhone 5s vs. the Nexus 5. In the 10-minutes video below, we have compared the camera performance, benchmarks, and app loading times of the devices against each other.

The first striking part in the comparison video above is just how small the iPhone 5s feels compared to the Nexus 5. The 4.95-inch on the Nexus 5 is bigger than the whole of the iPhone, and offers a much bigger real estate for browsing.

In the GeekBench benchmark, it was quite surprising to see the iPhone 5s finish the test much faster than the Nexus 5. Even though the Nexus 5 packs in a quad-core chip clocked at 2.27GHz, its individual cores are much slower than the dual core A7 chip inside the iPhone 5s.

The camera comparison between the two devices clearly shows some staggering results. Compared to the iPhone 5s, the front and back camera on the Nexus 5 is a complete joke. It is only in the video recording comparison that the Nexus 5 does remarkably better and is able to salvage some of its reputation.

Ultimately, it all boils down to the price of the devices. An unlocked Nexus 5 costs $350, while an unlocked iPhone 5s will set you back by more than $650. This alone shows the different approach that both the companies are taking here – making technology available to all vs. making the perfectly polished smartphone.
