It is widely expected that Google will unveil the Nexus 5 today, along with Android 4.4 KitKat. However, one online retailer in Dutch – BelSimpel – has jumped the gun and already started offering the handset for sale.
The online retailer lists the 16GB variant of the handset for a pricey €460 ($635). However, we should keep in mind that the Nexus handsets have always been sold at a higher rate outside of the Play Store. The handset will also be available on contract from Tele2 and T-Mobile for €36 and €47 a month.
The website lists the white and black colored variant of the handset for sale, with a shipping time of 2-4 days. The full specs of the handset has also been posted, in case anything has been left to be confirmed. The Nexus 5 will include a 2.3GHz Snapdragon S800 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p screen, 8MP/1.3MP cameras, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac support and a 2300mAh sealed battery with wireless charging.
While the retailer shipping dates might not be correct, the pricing of the handset should be spot-on.
