The Google Play store has been whittling down the smartphone options as of late, removing all of the Google Play edition handsets from its digital store shelves.
But that trend has stopped today, as Google has actually added a device back into the mix. For anyone who wants to get their hands on a Nexus-branded smartphone but don’t want to opt for a Nexus 6, the Nexus 5 form LG is back in stock in the Google Play store right now.
The older handset still features all of the same specifications from when it launched, including the 4.95-inch 1920×1080 display, the 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front-facing shooter, and 2GB of RAM with LTE connectivity.
Google has only the black option in right now, but the 16GB model and 32GB variant are up for grabs at this point. As of the time of this writing, Google still says that both options will ship from their warehouse in one to two business days.
Do you plan on picking up a Nexus 5?
