A reliable source of Android Police has leaked the specs of the upcoming Nexus 5 handset from LG. The source claims that the handset will come with a 5.2-inch LCD with Full HD resolution.

Internally, the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 chipset and will also feature 3GB RAM. Sadly, Google and LG will only be offering the handset in 16GB and 32GB storage variants. Being a Nexus, it is unlikely that the handset will come with a microSD card slot, so the lack of a higher storage option might be a bummer for many.

Additionally, the handset will come with a 2700mAh battery, which for a device with a 5.2-inch 1080p screen sounds pretty good. This is also bigger than the 2550mAh battery found inside the Galaxy S6 and is only a tad bit smaller than the One M9’s 2840mAh battery. The combination of a Full HD display, a Snapdragon 808 chipset, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow should translate into the upcoming Nexus 5 delivering above average battery life than other similar sized phones. The handset will also feature a USB type-C port, though it is unclear if it will be a simply redesigned USB 2.0 port or a native USB 3.0 port.

As for the cameras, the new Nexus 5 will come with a 12.3MP camera at the rear and a 5MP shooter at the front. Other specs of the camera remain unknown for the moment.

The source also states that Google has not decided whether it will be calling this the Nexus 5 (2015) or not. Lastly, the price of the handset remains unknown for now as well, though looking at the specs, it is likely that it will be priced around the $350-$400 range.

If a Korean media source is to be believed, LG and Google are likely to releases the new Nexus 5 (2015) towards the end of September. The handset had also leaked in live pictures earlier this month.
