Yesterday, a theory from Pocket Lint pegged the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat release date to be October 28th. Now, another theory suggests that Google will be unveiling the Nexus 5 and KitKat as soon as on 21st October.

Apparently, the KitKat team has been hiding a simple countdown in their images that they have been posting via their official account on Twitter and other social media. On October 14th, the KitKat team posted a picture of 007 for celebrating Roger Moore’s birthday. The next day, there was a picture of a bugdroid made up of six KitKat pieces. On the 16th, the KitKat team posted a picture of ‘This is it’ with the ‘s’ resembling a 5. The following day, they posted a 4-bar picture of KitKat with 4.4 written next to it.

So on the above based images, the new theory suggests that Google will be unveiling Android 4.4 KitKat and the Nexus 5 on October 21st.

At this point of time, the only thing I can say is that no one has a damn idea as to when Google will be unveiling Android 4.4 KitKat and the Nexus 5. Theories from various blogs and Internet citizen have pegged the date to be October 21 October 24th, October 28th and October 29th.

Since everyone is coming up with their own theories and a release date for KitKat, even I would like to put down my best guess – anywhere between October 21 to October 31st.
