In order to beef up privacy, Google is now offering incognito mode for Google Maps. It is similar to the incognito mode on Chrome browser and YouTube. When you are using incognito mode, Google will not store browser history or collect other information. This feature will come in handy when you don’t want Google to track the places you search and visit.
If you are worried about companies getting your location data, then simply opt-out of being tracked. You can use incognito mode from the menu by tapping on your profile photo. Google will launch the new features to Android and iOS this month. Furthermore, Google has started allowing users to auto-delete their YouTube History. If required you can also delete YouTube history for a particular time period. For instance, you can set it up in such a way that YouTube deletes all the history once in three months or a year.
Google is also working towards creating awareness about privacy. You can simply ask “Hey Google, how do you keep my data safe.” And Google will help you out. The company is also launching a new feature that will let you delete Assistant activity by using voice commands. All you need to do is say “Hey Google, delete the last thing I said to you.” And voila! Your Assistant history is deleted.
