Ahead of its official unveiling on June 20 later this month, OnePlus today teased the dual camera setup of the OnePlus 5 and even gave a glimpse of its design.
The design of the handset is similar to the render that leaked a couple of days ago. And if you think the OnePlus 5 resembles a certain phone from a Cupertino company, you are not mistaken.

From the rear, the OnePlus 5 bears a striking similarity to the iPhone 7 Plus. And as if that was not already enough, the design of the handset is the exact same as Oppo’s upcoming R11. Essentially, BKK, the parent company of Oppo and OnePlus, is ensuring that both these handsets use the same design so as to save on manufacturing cost.
As for the dual camera setup, the teaser image from OnePlus says that the dual camera setup on the 5 will allow it to capture clearer photos. This likely hints at the secondary sensor being a monochrome one which would allow it absorb more light. This implementation should be similar to what Huawei does on its P9 and P10 handsets. As for the primary sensor, rumors point to the handset coming with a 16MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture.
What do you think about the OnePlus 5 now that it is confirmed that it will have a design similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus? Disappointed? Happy? Drop a comment and let us know.
