With Motorola gearing up to announce the new Moto X+1 in early September, the leaks swirling around the upcoming handset will probably start to pick up speed. On August 15, a purported image of what’s believed to be the new Moto X broke cover, compared to the original model, and showing off some larger speakers for good measure.
In a leak published to the Facebook page HelloMoto HK, the images show what’s believed to be the new Moto X on the left, with a clearly larger front panel, with the original Moto X sitting idly on the right. When compared to the original device, the newer panel is a bit taller than the former, but more than that there are two distinct cut-outs at the top and bottom. While the top could be a larger earpiece, it’s matched at the bottom by the same size design. This could identify a pair of front-facing speakers.
We’ve previously seen what was believed to be a “near final” prototype of the Moto X+1, and most recently we saw a GeekBench score that gave plenty of indications of what to expect with the new device, including a 5.2-inch 1080p HD display. If these rumors pan out, then the Moto X successor could indeed be quite the device. We’ll find out more on September 4.
Are you looking forward to the Moto X+1?
