UK retailer Carphone Warehouse has just announced that it will start selling the new HTC One almost immediately after it is announced in London. This means that interested buyers in the UK will be able to snatch up the handset in another week from now.
The smartphone will be announced simultaneously in New York and London, so maybe we can expect the U.S. to get similar treatment via carriers and other retail channels.
Carphone Warehouse has revealed that it will make the smartphone available for purchase through its outlets in Westfield Stratford, Westfield White City, Oxford Circus, Centrepoint, Tottenham Court Road and Selfridges.
Pricing details haven’t been disclosed yet, but we’re guessing it won’t go easy on your wallets, especially considering the pricing of the predecessor. The smartphone will also be available for purchase through the retailer’s online store “shortly” after the announcement.
“We know how keen customers are to get hold of the latest tech as soon as possible and that is why we are so excited to be able to offer the new HTC One so quickly after it is unveiled,” an HTC spokeswoman said.
