The Mot X lineup isn’t going anywhere, and the Lenovo-owned company apparently plans on launching a new mid-range device next year.
Android Authority has published a report including several different images of what is believed to be the Moto X (2017), based off factory CADs. There are a variety of images showing different angles of the handset, along with a video of the factory CADs as well.
As far as information is concerned, the report is light. It is expected that the handset will be a mid-range device, and that the display will measure in at 5.2 inches. It will reportedly be thicker than the Moto Z lineup, too, measuring in at “150 x 73.8 x 8.4 mm (9.5 mm with camera bump).” It lacks any sort of connector pins on the back, too, so Moto Mods don’t appear to be in the cards for this future release.
The report also indicates that the Moto X (2017) will feature a microUSB port for charging, and that it will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.
As for a release date, that remains unknown at this point.
What do you think of the Moto X (2017), based on the leaks?
