Motorola recently claimed that the Moto G was its most successful Android smartphone ever in terms of sales. A new leak has revealed that the company could leverage the demand and popularity of this budget handset by launching a new variant soon: the Forte.
The Moto G Forte will reportedly break cover in Latin Americas in the coming weeks and could feature a slightly revamped specs sheet. One possible theory is that the company could make this a water/dust resistant device, which is in trend right now.
It is also possible that Motorola would launch this variant with a microSD card slot, which is perhaps the only gripe people have with the Moto G right now. However, this is plain speculation at this point as it is only a leak.
Specs wise, the smartphone shouldn’t be any different given that the Moto G was released just a few months ago. The leaked press image shows the same UI as the one we saw on the original Moto G, so we’re guessing there’s not a lot different with this new variant.
As a recap, the Moto G comes with a 4.5 inch 720p display, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1GB of RAM and 8/16GB of storage with Android 4.4 KitKat.
So who’s excited for the Moto G Forte?
