The Moto X and Moto G were among the first devices to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update — at least in the United States. The Lenovo owned company has since then taken its own sweet time to start a wider rollout of the update in other regions of the world.

Nevertheless, it looks like Motorola has finally started a wider rollout of the Lollipop update as per reports from Moto X and Moto G owners in the United Kingdom and Europe. The company has also started rolling out the Android 5.0.1 update for the 2nd gen. Moto G in the United States. However, Moto G owners in the EU region are only receiving the Android 5.0 build of Lollipop.

It has also started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the 2nd gen. Moto X in India, along with a soak test of Lollipop for the dual SIM Moto G (2nd gen) in India and Brazil.

Motorola has been extremely quick to roll out the Lollipop update for the 2nd generation Moto X and Moto G. The company has also promised to update the original Moto X, Moto G and the Moto E to Lollipop, though it has not provided any timeframe as to when users should expect the update.
