On Wednesday, September 24, a report surfaced that aimed to unveil plenty of details regarding Motorola’s oft-rumored “Shamu” handset, what’s believed to be the next Nexus-branded smartphone. Now, a new image has been revealed, supposedly showcasing the device out in the wild.

Details about the next Nexus smartphone are still few and far between, save for rumors and unconfirmed reports. As far as images go, though, we’ve only seen mock-ups so far. Now, though, an image has been found that supposedly showcases the back of the Motorola device codenamed the Shamu. And, if there was any question about the handset’s size, which is said to be at 5.9-inches, seeing it next to the LG G3 certainly puts it in perspective.

The image is obviously unconfirmed at this point, and rumors along with the reveal suggest that the handset is indeed coming to Verizon at some point down the road. The details are thin, as usual, but if the leaks continue as such, we should have plenty of information ahead of the October unveiling that’s rumored to take place.
