Its no secret that Motorola has been struggling with the sales of its flagship handset — the Moto X. The company has been constantly offering the unlocked version of the handset on discount in a bid to increase its sagging sales.

Now, in a bid to further tempt consumers, Motorola will be allowing users to order a customized version of Moto X via Moto Maker only for $0.01 and trial it for two weeks.

After this two weeks, users can decide whether they want to use the phone or return it back to Motorola. Sounds too good to be true? It sure is. The offer is only valid on June 9th (i.e. Monday) and only until quantities last.

Motorola recently announced that it would be shutting down its Texas factory in the United States where it assembles the customized versions of Moto X because of increasing input and labour costs.

If you live in the United States and are interested in trying out a Moto X for two weeks, make sure to head over to Motorola’s website first thing on Monday morning.
