Motorola found itself quite the hot device with the Moto X, especially coupled with their Moto Maker. Now that it’s 2014, everyone’s preparing themselves for the successor. A new leak shows us what it might look like in a case.

It’s a render, but it’s certainly better than nothing. Especially for those who found some excitement in Motorola’s Moto X, launched late last year. With the follow-up device rumored to launch by the end of September, if not sooner, any leaks are going to get plenty of attention. Even a render of a device in a case.

Everything here looks pretty standard. On-screen buttons, stock Android, and a camera on the back. The only interesting thing that might be worth talking about here is the single, solitary sensor at the top of the back of the Moto X+1 render. That’s more than likely the flash, but it seems pretty lackluster. Which hopefully isn’t indicative of the whole camera system back there, which we’ve heard could see a significant improvement over the previous generation device. Unfortunately, a lot of the details on that back case indicate it could be a Moto E inside, rather than the Moto X+1. This is very well a case of mistaken identity.

Are you looking forward to the Moto X+1?
