Motorola phones always sport powerful internals and great build quality, but the camera performance of their devices have always been significantly behind the competition.
The 1st and 2nd gen Moto X shipped with a unique combination of hardware and software that was unmatched by any other OEM, but the rear cameras on these phones are complete garbage.
It looks like Motorola is now finally going to bring its A game in the camera department with the 3rd gen Moto X — which is just a couple of months away from launch, at best now. The company’s CMO, Adrienne Hayes, responding to a tweet about the about the camera performance being the main focal point of their future devices, said that the company knows they need to improve in this department and are definitely going to “bring it”.
YES. We know we need to improve here and are definitely going to "bring it." https://t.co/77Lzkvtvqb

With Samsung and LG greatly stepping up their game in the camera department this year, Motorola needs to seriously up its game if it is looking to challenge flagship devices from these OEM in terms of camera performance.
The 3rd gen Moto X is now just around the corner, and it will be interesting to see if Motorola is able to deliver a great camera in the handset or not.
