The Motorola DROID Turbo was unveiled at the end of October, and went on sale soon after. Now the Big Red carrier has unveiled a brand new “Employee Edition” of the handset.
Verizon isn’t shy about revealing specific variants of some devices, and on Monday, November 3, they unveiled the Employee Edition of their newest DROID-branded smartphone, the DROID Turbo. The changes are minor, including a smooth kevlar back panel, and branding with a serial number near the camera. Another difference comes in the price tag, as the two-year contract pricing is set at $99. Without a contract, the DROID Turbo will run $499.
The changes end there, though. The DROID Turbo Employee Edition still boasts the 5.2-inch QHD display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood with 3GB of RAM, and a 21MP camera on the back. The battery is measured in at 3900mAh.
