Motorola and Verizon have seen success with their Droid lineup in the past, but for some that may feel like a long time ago. While the most recent lineup was certainly noteworthy in its own way, it looks like the pair of companies could be coming to market with a handset that could really catch some eyes.

Based on a report published by Android Authority, Motorola is gearing up to launch a device that is called the Droid Turbo. The handset may not have the most creative name out there, but the features inside may be enough to sway anyone on the fence, if the rumor pans out. According to the report, the Droid Turbo will boast a display that has a resolution of 1440×2560, with a pixel per inch count of 640. That means the size could be right around 4.6-inches. That isn’t the only noteworthy feature, though.

On the inside there will reportedly be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, clocked at 2.65GHz. It will also launch with 32GB of built-in storage, 3GB of RAM, a 20-megapixel camera on the back, with a 2MP front-facing shooter. It will also apparently launch with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.

This all may just be too good to be true, though, considering that Motorola’s devices, especially those in the Droid lineup as of late, aren’t necessarily beacons for the specs race. Each of the Droid-branded devices last year weren’t necessarily flagship devices, but that doesn’t mean that this year’s flagship can’t try to take up the baton. It would certainly be a change of pace for the company, but then again, maybe that’s exactly what they need to change things up.

If these rumors pan out, would you consider picking up the Droid Turbo?
