The Moto X is soon going to be a year old, which means its successor — the Moto X+1 — is just around the corner. While Motorola has not announced anything as to when it plans on unveiling the Moto X+1, the specs of the device have been continuously making appearance on various benchmark suites online.
Today’s leak comes courtesy of GeekBench, which lists that the Moto X+1 would come with a quad-core Snapdragon MSM8974 chip clocked at 2.46GHz. The leak also suggests that the handset would come with 2GB of RAM.
While Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 chip is not the fastest anymore, it is still more than adequately powerful for all the day-to-day tasks, and is found inside nearly all the flagship handsets released this year.
The above leaked specs perfectly matches up with what we have heard earlier about Moto’s upcoming handset. Other rumored specs of the handset include a 12MP camera, a 5.2-inch 1080p display and a 2900mAh battery.
Last year, Motorola managed to wow everyone with a couple of unique features on the Moto X. It will be interesting to see if Motorola manages to pull a similar feat this time around.
