For anyone that’s gearing up to pick up a Moto X through Moto Maker, Motorola has a great deal for anyone that has been eyeing one of the wood backs for their new smartphone.

Motorola has announced yet another special promotion for their hero device of 2013, with the revelation that all wood backs for the Moto X will be available as a free customization option beginning today, August 19, and running until August 21. As is par for the course the deal doesn’t run for very long, but it’s still a great offer for anyone who’s wanted to pick up a Moto X with a wood back, but didn’t want to pay the premium price tag to do it.

The bamboo back cover was first added in late 2013, and it originally cost $100 to add the option. However, when the company added teak, ebony and walnut backs, they dropped the price down to $25. The other wood back options cost $25 extra as well. However, if you decide to pick one up now, the 16GB Moto X will run you $349.99, while the 32GB option will cost you $399.99. The 64GB variant is a cool $474.99.

Of course, Motorola has already sent out invites for an event on September 4 in Chicago, Illinois, where they are expected to unveil the Moto X+1, which is certainly worth noting.

Do you plan on taking advantage of the deal?
