We know the major carriers are gearing up for the Moto X, but they may not be the only ones planning a big launch in the coming weeks. According to Phandroid, Cricket may be prepping its own Moto X launch party, too.

A trusted source sent Phandroid a shot of a dummy Moto X phone that arrived at a Cricket store. The phone was part of a larger box that contained many other XFON PP1310 dummy units. These fake phones resemble the real versions and are used to showcase the device before a display model is made available in a store.

Details on when the Moto X will officially launch on Cricket were not revealed by the source. I will say this — if the stores are getting dummy units, the launch is likely not too far off. The phone is now available on Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. It will go on sale soon with US Cellular.
