Back in August last year, when Motorola announced the Moto X, it promised that it will start offering wooden backs for the handset sometime soon. However, due to some quality and testing delays, the bamboo finished back for the X came towards the end of the year for an additional $100.

The additional $100 was a bit too much to ask for from consumers and many people voiced their concerns to Motorola. Like it has done in the recent past, Motorola has once again given heed to consumer feedback and has dropped the prices for the bamboo back of the Moto X to $25.

In addition to that, the company also announced that more wooden finished backs — Walnut, Teak and Ebony — will be made available for the Moto X starting from 21st January via Moto Maker for an additional $25.

In the last six months, Motorola has gone from an OEM that no one cared about to an OEM that is doing everything right. It has managed to gain the attention of the enthusiasts and has been consistently paying due attention to what it consumers demand.
