Motorola has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the 1st and 2nd generation Moto G in India and the United States.
The company is rolling out the Android 5.0.2 build of Lollipop for its mid-range handset. The Lenovo-owned company had started a trial run of its Lollipop update back in December itself, but it is only now that it has started a wider rollout of the update.
#Lollipop is rolling out in phases to #MotoG (2nd Gen) in US & #MotoG (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. Look for the notification on your device!

While Motorola states that the update is only being rolled out in India and US, many Moto G owners in Brazil and Europe are also reportedly receving the update.
Motorola has already updated its current flagship handset — the Moto X 2014 — to Lollipop in India and the United States. However, the update has introduced many bugs, including apps randomly draining battery, random reboots and more. The company is also yet to update the Moto E and Moto X (2013) to Lollipop.
