According to a retailer, which received the information directly from a Motorola representative, the successor to the Moto G “should” be available for purchase beginning September 10.

According to a report published by GSMArena, the Moto G+1, or G2, will be available for purchase on September 10, or “will begin shipping to retailers on September 10,” as the rep reportedly put it. Also, the representative said that the new device will feature a 5-inch display, and will offer dual-SIM capabilities. Some retailers will reportedly get the device into their shops as early as the end of August, but it is unclear, based on the report, whether or not they’ll be able to sell them before September 10.

An interesting piece of information comes in the pricing, though, as the report suggests that it could cost €250. As noted, that’s about double the price of the original Moto G, and comes in at 25 percent more expensive than the Moto G with 4G LTE connectivity.

As far as specifications go, the Moto G2 will reportedly offer that 5-inch display with a 720p HD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood, clocked at 1.2GHz. There’s reportedly 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front. It should launch with Android 4.4.4 KitKat right out of the box. The built-in storage is rumored to be 8GB out of the box, but nothing has been confirmed in this area quite yet (much like everything else).
