Google and Motorola have started rolling out the Android 5.1 update for the Google Play edition of the Moto G — making it the first GPe handset to receive the update to the latest version of Lollipop.
The 171MB OTA update bumps the build version to LMY47M, and brings with it quite a few bug fixes, performance improvements, dual SIM support, HD Voice calling and more. While Android 5.1 also adds Device Protection Manager, the feature is not making its way to the Moto G.

Other Google Play edition devices like the HTC One M7 and M8, Galaxy S4, LG G Pad, Sony Z Ultra and others are yet to receive the OTA update to Android 5.1, and their respective OEMs have not announced any timeframe as to when users should expect the update to rollout.
