Almost exactly one year ago, the Moto G Google Play edition made its way to the digital store shelves within the Google Play store. Apparently the device’s time has come.
While the device was available via the Google Play store for the majority of the day on Tuesday, January 6, later in the evening the handset was officially pulled from the digital store shelves. Now, the only devices listed are the Nexus 6, the Nexus 5 (which is still technically not available, either), and the Nexus 9. When it comes to Google Play edition handsets, the only remaining phone is the HTC One (M8) GPe handset.
The Google Play edition of the Moto G actually received an update to Android 5.0.1 on December 11, 2014.
