At the tail-end of February, Motorola officially unveiled the successor to the company’s successful Moto E, the Moto E (2nd Gen.).
The newer handset made plenty of improvements over last year’s model, including the addition of LTE connectivity, and managed to keep the cheap price tag for good measure. Now, courtesy of Sprint, we know that the device is available right now for the Now Network’s Prepaid service, as well as through the company’s Boost Mobile network. On top of that, for subscribers to Virgin Mobile, the Moto E (2nd Gen.) will launch on that network beginning March 9.
The newest Moto E will be available from each carrier for $99.99 without a contract, which is actually cheaper than the $149 price tag attached to the handset when it was announced. The handset will be available in black for Sprint’s Prepaid service and Virgin Mobile, while Boost Mobile subscribers will get to have the new Moto E in white.
The specifications are the same from the launch device, though. Which means it still boasts a 4.5-inch 960×540 display, with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor under the hood, 8GB of built-in storage, and a 5MP camera on the back.
