Hot on the heels of the Android 4.4W.2 update for the G Watch, Motorola has also started rolling out a new software update for the Moto 360 that brings with it a number of new goodies.

Post the update, Moto 360 will get access to a ‘Smart Battery Saving’ mode — that automatically kicks in when the battery level falls below 15% and disables the Ambient display mode to preserve battery.

The primary function of a watch is to make sure that it displays the correct time and to do its job perfectly, the Moto 360 will sync with your phone “more often” to stay up to the minute.

The update also brings ‘Mood lighting’ to the 360 allowing it to adjust the brightness of its display even when it is on charge to make sure that it is not too bright or dark.

Motorola has also added a new gesture in this update that allow 360 owners to see the full watch face without dismissing the notification. Simply touch the top of a notification and swipe down. The notification will automatically be displayed again when you receive another high priority notification.

There are also some under-the-hood improvements “that will pave the way for connecting Bluetooth headsets to the watch” along with bug-fixes for an improved user experience.

Motorola is rolling out the update in batches so it don’t fret if the update is not yet available for your smartwatch.
