WearOS seems to be catching up. Recently Fossil launched their Wear OS-powered watch and now Misfit has launched Vapor X. The latest from Misfit is powered by Qualcomm chipset and features a sleek design.
The Misfit Vapor X is comfortable and the body is made up of aluminum allow which restricts the weight to just 43g. The fitness watch is 42mm in size and comes equipped with a 1.19-inch AMOLED display. Under the hood lies Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor.
On the storage front, the Vapor X offers 4GB of onboard storage. Misfit seems to have ruined the otherwise good fitness watch with a meager 512MB of RAM. A majority of recent smartwatches including the Fossil Gen 5 come fitted with 1GB of RAM.
Other features on the Vapor X include NFC, heart rate sensor, 3 ATM water resistance, gyroscope, an altimeter, and an accelerometer. Misfit claims that the magnetic charger is capable of charging the watch from 0-80 in 50 minutes. Snapdragon 3100 powered watches boast of better battery life and Misfit’s Vapor X is no different. The fitness watch is rated to offer 24-hours on a charge while the battery life saver mode doubles up the backup to 2 days. Misfit Vapor X comes preinstalled with apps including Spotify, Noonlight, and Cardiogram.
Furthermore, the new Sport Start+ is made from silicone and the Vapor X offers three buttons along the side which includes two customizable buttons.
As far as pricing is concerned, the Misfit Vapor X is priced at $279 and is available on the Misfit website. However, Misfit is offering an $80 limited period discount which reduces the price to $199. Misfit Vapor X is available in Black, Rose Tome with Rose Beige Sport Strap, Gunmetal with Green Sport Strap and Stainless with Navy Sport Strap.
