At the end of May, Microsoft initially said that its digital personal assistant, Cortana, would be making its grand debut, in beta form, on Android beginning in late June.
That timeframe has changed a bit, though, as Microsoft has let it be known on its official “Blogging Windows” site that the beta for Android smartphones won’t actually be available until the following month. Now, Microsoft says the Cortana beta will begin sometime in July, but still doesn’t provide an exact date to circle on the calendar just yet.
Microsoft did point out the features that Android users should expect to find when they start using Cortana, including the ability to have the personal assistant remind them at a certain time to do something (and have that notification actually pop up on their Xbox One, too, if they have one).
Do you plan on using Cortana?
