Security is an important aspect of our mobile devices, and especially for the information those devices have access to.

Google wants to make sure that your Drive account is secure, and for those who are willing to go through a couple minutes of a “security checkup” will get a nice bonus at the end of it, too. The process should only take a couple of minutes, and once it’s done the user will get a free 2GB of extra cloud storage space in their Drive.

The process itself looks over a couple of different areas, including making sure the account recovery details are up-to-date and accurate. Once all that’s done and the process is complete, Google will start to rollout the extra storage for those who completed the steps on February 28.
