LG is certainly no stranger to mid-range smartphones, and its bolstering its lineup with a trio of new devices.
On Monday, LG officially announced the Q7a, the Q7, and Q7+, three devices that share the same physical qualities and features, but make a few key changes in specs to differentiate from one another. Each of the new devices feature a 5.5-inch FHD+ display, with minimized bezels and a display aspect ratio of 18:9.
Each of the handsets share similarities in key areas. For instance, the Q7a and Q7 both have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, while the Q7+ has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The first two devices also have a 1.5GHz octa-core processor under the hood, while the Q7+ ramps things up a bit with a 1.8GHz octa-core processor. The Q7a and Q7 also both offer a 13-megapixel camera on the back, while the Q7+ has a 16-megapixel shooter on the rear.
Around front, the Q7a has a 5MP camera, while the Q7 and Q7+ both have an 8MP offering.
The features baked inside each of the handsets are the same, too, aiming to elevate the Q7 lineup as a whole. That includes DTX:X Surround Sound support while listening via the 3.5mm headphone jack, Hi-Fi quality audio, microSD card support for expandable storage, Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, water and dust resistance, portrait mode support for the rear cameras, and QLens AI-assisted camera features. There is a fingerprint reader on the back of each unit, too.
LG didn’t announce any specific price points or release dates just yet, unfortunately.
What do you think of the new Q7 series?
