LG has started sending out invites for the launch event of the G4 on April 28th in New York, London and Paris, and on April 29th in Singapore, Istanbul and Seoul.
The invite carries the tagline “See The Great. Feel The Great,” with the background resembling leather.
An LG executive had earlier stated that LG will be launching the G4 in April with a new UI/UX and design. However, alleged leaked photos of the handset show a device that looks similar to the G3 in design as well as the UI/UX department.
The LG G4 apparently made an appearance in GFXBench’s database earlier today that revealed some of the specs of the handset, which includes a 7MP front-facing camera and a Quad HD display. The benchmark suite also suggests that LG is going to use the Snapdragon 808 processor inside the G4, and not the problematic Snapdragon 810, which is prone to overheating leading to poor battery life.
Looking at the rave reviews that the Samsung Galaxy S6 has garnered, it will be interesting to see how well LG’s G4 stacks up against it.
