LG G4, premium in almost every way

LG has started rolling out an OTA update that aims to fix the touchscreen issues plaguing the LG G4. For now, the update seems to be rolling out only to the T-Mobile variant of the handset in the United States.

It is unclear if the update fixes other issues present in the launch firmware of the handset or not, including the poor audio quality while recording videos. The update does not seem to be live yet, but it should only be a matter of few hours before it does.

The launch firmware of most handsets are pretty buggy, and OEMs are quick to rollout an update to fix all the bugs within a month or two of the device going on sale. So, it is not surprising to see LG rolling out an update to fix the touchscreen issues on the G4 as well. The update should also bring about improvements in other areas of the phone, including battery life, but it can only be confirmed once the OTA makes its way to G4 owners in the U.S.

Have you received any OTA updates on your LG G4 yet?

Update: As it turns out, the OTA update was actually an update for the keyboard app, which does nothing to fix the touchscreen issues affecting the G4.
