LG G4, premium in almost every way

The OnePlus One was among the most popular smartphone released last year despite being released from a never before heard of OEM.

While the handset has notched up pretty impressive sales numbers after being on sale for nearly a month, it had major issues with touch screen performance. Despite multiple updates from OnePlus and Synaptics to fix the issue, the touch screen performance of OnePlus One has always remained below par.

Now, it looks like LG’s latest flagship —  the G4 — suffers from a similar issue. Many G4 owners are reporting poor touch screen response time, ghost touches and more with their device. The problem does not seem to be that widespread though, with only a minority of G4 owners facing the issue.

Some G4 owners have only faced this issue when the phone is on charge, though for others the issue seems to be permanent. It is entirely possible that a selected batch of G4 shipped with a faulty touch screen digitiser. Owners of affected G4 units can either go in for a replacement or wait for LG to, hopefully, fix the issue with a future software update.
