LG has just officially unveiled the G3 Stylus — a mid-range phablet with modest specs that features the same design and aesthetics as the G3.
As its name may have indicated, the G3 Stylus comes with a err…stylus, which LG has dubbed as the Rubberdium stylus pen. It does not really feature anything special except that it is “comfortable in any hand and is perfect for effortless jotting, doodling and sketching with precision.”
“With its exceptional hardware and exceptional price that can’t be beat, the LG G3 Stylus is in a category all by itself,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The LG G3 Stylus is the perfect tool for consumers who don’t want to be bogged down carrying a laptop, tablet and smartphone. It gets things done and lets you have fun while doing without having to compromise on quality, style or user experience.”
The G3 Stylus features the same floating arc design with tapered edges and thin bezels as the G3. Under the hood though, the G3 Stylus sports some very modest internals, which are as follows:
- 1.3Ghz quad-core processor
- 5.5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB internal memory and microSD card slot
- 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP selfie camera
- 3000mAh removable battery
- Android 4.4.2 KitKat
- Stylus Pen
LG has included all the software goodies of the G3 on its latest phablet as well including Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot, QuickMemo+, Dual Window, Smart Keyboard and Knock Code.
The G3 Stylus will go on sale in primarily 3G markets including Brazil in September followed by other regions in Asia, Middle East, Africa and CIS. LG will also be showcasing the G3 Stylus at IFA in Berlin early next month.
