The LG G3 comes with a new Smart keyboard which size can be increased or decreased and it can even learn your writing style as you type on it. While all these features are already available on SwiftKey, arguably the best keyboard for Android, it does not deny the fact that LG’s offering is a step in the right direction.

The good news is that you don’t need to wait for the G3 to go on sale to try out the new keyboard. A good samaritan over at XDA forums — Cloudyfa — has managed to port LG’s Smart keyboard for all other Android devices including the likes of the Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8.

Installation will require users to have root access though, as they will need to flash a zip file in recovery. An XDA member has also packaged the file in an APK but that requires root access as well.
