We’ve been hearing a lot about the LG G3 in the past few days, and the leaks and rumors show no signs of stopping. More information has now surfaced on the upcoming LG flagship – The Verge has managed to get hold of a live photo of the G3’s retail box, which reveals that LG will be following the recent trend of launching flagship phones with a golden shade as one of the color options.

According to The Verge, the LG G3 will be offered in a “golden hue” color, similar to devices like the HTC One M8 and the Samsung Galaxy S5, which doesn’t really come as a surprise especially since the G2 also has a gold variant. Meanwhile, a relatively unknown source claims the G3 will have a polycarbonate body like its predecessor and buttons on the back. It’s also claimed that it will have a removable back, though that doesn’t necessarily mean the battery will be removable as well, and could only be because of the presence of a microSD slot.

LG wasn’t willing to comment on the leaked image, though the company did apparently confirm that the G3 will feature a Quad HD (2560×1440) display. It sure is shaping up to be an interesting smartphone, and we’ll likely see a lot of other details leak out before the G3’s rumored July launch.
