LG mobile today announced that it will be offering an extra battery and a charging cradle to all its new LG G3 customers for free. The offer is only available in the United States sadly, and only if your purchase the G3 from any of the major carriers or authorized national dealers online or offline.

The LG G3 was among the first major Android devices to come with a Quad HD 5.5-inch display. However, its 3000mAh non-removable battery is barely enough to get the device through a day of heavy use, so LG’s offer here actually makes sense. The cradle and the battery combined cost around $70.

You will not get the charging cradle and the battery right when you buy your new G3 though. LG will be shipping it to your mailing address within 4-6 weeks of purchasing the device.

The promotion starts from today (i.e. September 8) and ends on September 22nd, which means that you still have plenty of time to decide whether you want the G3 or not.
