In what could be among the last few leaks before the LG G3 is officially announced, a demo unit of the phone has surfaced in leaked photos taken at a retail store in South Korea. Since it’s a dummy unit, it’s not the hands-on we would have liked, but the pictures do give us a good overview of the hardware. 

There’s nothing new or different here than what we’ve already seen – the photos confirm features like the ultra-thin bezels on the front and what is said to be a laser autofocus sensor on the back of the device. The headphone jack and USB port are at the bottom (right where they should be, as most would argue), and we also see LG’s now traditional rear volume and power buttons setup. It’s too bad the source of these pictures didn’t manage to compare the phone with other devices, but I guess we’ll find no lack of such comparisons once the G3 gets unveiled on May 27th.

The G3 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD (2560×1440) display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, 16GB of expandable internal storage, a removable 3,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the latest iteration of LG’s Optimus UI. (tntechoracle) It’s basically shaping up to be one of the best smartphones we will see this year – well, at least until the Prime flagships from Samsung and HTC come out to steal its thunder.
