LG G2

While the LG G2 comes with a relatively decent camera with features like Optical Image Stabilization, it’s still far from perfect. And some developers over at the XDA Forums have decided to change that by cooking a new camera tweak which brings tons of changes to the default camera application. This mod requires the LG G2 to be running on Android 4.4.2 with root access, so keep that in mind before proceeding.

So what’s exactly new with this new camera hack? Well, users will get several new shooting modes such as Magic Focus mode (from the LG G Pro 2), a better Intelligent Auto mode, slightly upgraded night mode images with reduced shutter speed and the ability to shoot videos in 4K UHD resolution.

As you know, LG didn’t bring support for 4K video recording with the recent KitKat update for the G2, so this mod has come at the right time.

This revamped camera also comes with a 1600 ISO mode and increased resolution of panorama images for better clarity. The work done by the developer is very commendable as it brings support for several features which are not seen on most devices from 2013. We hope LG makes a note of this and enables these features by default so that users don’t have to go through the troubles of flashing new apps and features on their own.
