LG G Pad

The three new midrange LG G Pad tablets will start rolling out in a handful of European markets over the course of this month according to the company. The pricing of the three tablets hasn’t been specified yet, but expect it to come under the budget segment.

The hardware is fairly midrange as expected and do not compare with the LG G Pad 8.3 which boasted of a relatively top end hardware. The new G Pad series is available in 7, 8 and 10.1 inch configurations, all with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The three tablets also come with a quad core 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The G Pad 7.0 packs a 3-megapixel rear camera while the 8 and 10.1 inch models sport 5-megapixel sensors.

There’s no cellular connectivity on board, so all tablets are reliant on WiFi. As far as the pricing is concerned, we don’t expect it to surpass the $400 barrier especially for the 10.1 inch variant considering its hardware credentials.

The G Pad 7.0 will be the first to arrive in the scene later this week while the G Pad 8.0 and 10.1 will follow subsequently. The midrange tablet segment is dominated by a plethora of manufacturers including Samsung, ASUS and the likes, so LG will have to manoeuvre its pricing so as to attract more customers towards its offering.
