LG G Pad Ⅱ 8.3 LTE goes official in South Korea

LG is expanding its mid-range G Pad tablet lineup with the G Pad II 8.3 LTE, which has been officially announced for South Korean carrier LG U+ and will go on sale on December 23rd.

The G Pad II 8.3 LTE follows the G Pad II 8.0 that was launched in August this year. LG has increased the screen size and resolution on the new tablet to 8.3 inches and 1920×1200 pixels respectively (the G Pad II 8.0 had an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels), and also added LTE connectivity to the mix.

Under the hood there’s an octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. Other specs include 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras on the rear and front, 16GB of expandable storage, and a 4,800 mAh battery. Running the show on the software front is Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with LG’s usual customization. A stylus is included in the box as well, like the G Pad II 8.0.

The G Pad II 8.3 LTE will be available in Brown Gold; LG hasn’t said anything about pricing or a release in other markets.
