Not to be outdone by Samsung, LG is all set to release its first curved smartphone sometime next month. Today, the folks at Engadget have managed to get their hands on some of the renders of the upcoming handset, spoiling LG’s surprise party.
Unlike the Galaxy Round from Samsung that had a curved screen from left-to-right, the LG G Flex is going to sport a screen that is curved from top to bottom. The screen size of the handset has been tipped at 6-inches.
Apart from the leaked press renders and the screen size, no other information is available about the G Flex right now. It will be interesting to see how OEMs make use of the curved display technology in smartphones to offer us a better day-to-day experience. LG also states that the display is unbreakable, but I am not too optimistic about this. Being curved, the display will be more dense, making it less prone to cracking or breaking.
LG is expected to unveil the G Flex sometime next month.
