LG has already sent out press invites for an event it is hosting on August 31, back in July, but back then it was only teasing what it might unveil on that day.
Now, with only a few weeks to go, LG has decided to come right out and confirm that its next big thing will be the oft-rumored V30. The invite was published to LG’s blog, and it confirms not only that the V30 will be unveiled, but that the handset will feature a 6-inch OLED display, something we’ve heard rumored in the past.
On top of that, the Life’s Good crew has also stated that it is aiming for a minimalist design with the V30, and as such, it will be moving the LG logo to the back of the phone only. That means there won’t be the familiar manufacturer’s logo below the display this time around, which some fans will probably like quite a bit.
Additionally, LG is talking up the camera in the V30. saying that it has improved the camera performance and ability every year, and that this will be no different. LG will probably spend quite a bit of time on stage talking up the rear dual camera setup in the V30, and hopefully it follows through with results.
The new phone will be a big step for LG, and it’s also expected to drop the secondary display from the design, which may or may not be a step in the right direction for the company.
Are you looking forward to the arrival of the LG V30?
