After revealing earlier this month that the LG V20 will be the first smartphone to come with a 32-bit quad DAC, the company has now announced that it has partnered with B&O Play to optimise the audio capabilities of the smartphone.
As a result of this partnership, LG will also be including a special pair of B&O Play earphones and a wallpaper pack designed specifically for the V20.
LG had previously worked together with B&O Play to release a dedicated Hi-Fi DAC for the LG G5.
“I’m pleased about our close partnership with B&O PLAY which started earlier this year with Hi-Fi Plus with B&O PLAY and continues today with the V20,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company. “A growing number of consumers expect a better audio experience from their smartphones than what has been available in the past and I’m confident that the V20 delivers on these expectations.”
LG will be unveiling the V20 on September 6th. The handset will be the first in the world to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Leaks point to the handset coming with the same modular design that LG first debuted on the G5 earlier this year. It will also come with a secondary ticker screen on the front and a dual-camera setup at the rear.
