Earlier this year, a rumor surfaced that Google is planning to release two Nexus-branded smartphones this year, including one manufactured by LG.
That LG smartphone is reportedly codenamed “Bullhead,” and it’s apparently equipped with a 5.2-inch display, making it the smaller of the two Nexus smartphones rumored to launch later this year. Now, according to a tweet sent out by @Onleaks, accompanied by a photo, the first glimpse of what the Bullhead’s back could look like has been revealed.
The serial leaker did caution that the image could not be a clear indicator for the final product, though, saying that the image came from “a case maker based on very early information.” With that in mind, a grain of salt is probably a good idea while looking at the image, which has some interesting cutouts, to say the least. A running theory is that the large cutout near the middle of the case, or even the one to the side of the presumed camera cutout, could be for a fingerprint sensor.
Are you excited to see the next Nexus smartphone(s)?
